PROJECT 2 : APPRECIATING ENVIRONMENT - NOTHING IS CONSIDERED WASTE (INDIVIDUAL CREATIVE PRODUCT)

Fig. 2 Individual creative model made using excess uPVC pipes and fittings that are used for plumbing purposes mainly in the kitchen on-site together with duck tape and wires as reinforcement, this side table cum rack (45x30x40cm) is eco-friendly. With materials that are not attached permanently, each individual module can be taken off to be used/recycle later. A piece of styrofoam which is obtained from the site used to protect sinks in the box is placed as the table-top. Overall, it can be used to place books, magazines and acts as a side table suitable to be place in a living hall.

Learning Outcomes :

  1. Able to produce a creative and meaningful object from construction waste.
  2. Able to generate awareness and appreciation of the environment.
  3. Understand the importance of recycling and reuse of waste materials.
  4. Sparks up innovative and creative thinking skills.
